I would expect something like that. If they paid in points it should be trackable etc.
Overall though, this isn't beyond a reasonable doubt and people will most likely be able to recognise & out the One Post Wonders who "bought" $50k of traffic... to some extent you just have to trust your judgement. *shrugs*
