There is a fine line here while typos are fine and I use them what I am suggesting spell check for is because I am seeing when I check the link dumps some blogs that look like they were written by a 3 year old with bad English.
English was not my first language ( Russian Was ) so I know it can be a problem. But you at least want the Blog to be readable.

But to answer your question typo's are fine. Hunt them down and use them to take advantage of them. I do.

Here is another Tip

I know there is a large demand for Blogs in Spanish. If you know Spanish consider doing one or more in Spanish. I do this and they have been very well received.
