I might be wrong but your sites to me look the same as so many others. A banner that bears little to no relation to the content. Content that was brought in from different sources and probably bought on a tight budget.
These are very initial glances and opinions formed from them. I tend not to look too hard. Just like your average surfer. If the first impression is poor I've made up my mind. Maybe it was your srtice that made me think I was going to see something else.
