Good has already come from it. Wildcash pulled it's link from torrent sites that promote and traffic CP all over the world. They've been questioned on this for well over a month on other boards, and nothing happened, but after bringing it to light here and some work they finally did pull the links.
Stopping people from paying to traffic CP is a good thing.
I know I will make enemies, I know people will think this is only for my own personal namesake, and I could care less.
There is a dirty underside to this industry.
A lot of newbie, or noobie webmasters come to the pond to learn and it sends them on their way to hopefully a successful webmaster career.
So I think it's fair to teach them the good and the bad, what sponsors are using shit methods, what to stay away from, how these things work, etc. There has already been a handful of people on this board who admitted to doing Zango installs and did not know what it does until it was brought to the boards. If it never came to the boards people would still be using Zango installing it and making life a lot worse for all of us.
I also think saying the local government is not doing anything so why should we. I've personally shut down dozens of trader, rapidshare, BBS, torrent type sites by contacting their host and making it not so pretty for them. Due diligence does pay off. Sure the sites go up a week later when they find a new host, but imagine the amount of bookmarks lost. Take a 100k TGP and put it off line for a week, watch the drastic change after that.
People can hate on me all they want, think I have an agenda, if you don't care about the dirty side of adult, don't open the thread, put me on ignore and continue your day as if we live in a cartoon fantasy land.
