Though thats only if you actually caught them. 9 out of 10 times sponsors are called out for shaving theres not a scrap of proof and its either the webmaster's lack of knowledge, or just a 'feeling'.
I have only ever caught 1 sponsor shaving outright, and that was silvercash not crediting my referral joins several years back. I was able to get sales data from my only referral (krusty) and only around 50% of the joins were being credited to me  Emailed them and they credited the missing refs. |
LB a lot of sponsors got a get out of jail free card a few years ago.
MPA2 had a built in shave module, and at one time many many sponsors were using MPA2. When NATS launched they did their little attack on Mansion and put their "NATS DON'T SHAVE" marketing campaign into place.
Everyone went after MPA2, and no one spoke about the programs who used MPA2.
Those programs quietly switched over to NATS and acted like nothing ever happened.
I always found it odd that MPA2 tool all the heat, when they launched their script they were a series of programmers building a custom easy to use system to fulfill the needs of the program owners. They had requests to have something that would limit the amount of joins sent and the amount of joins shown. They made that feature by request of program owners.
I just always found it funny that people who used MPA2 were never questioned more.
