Adult Blogging Mistakes

Looking around submissions and link dumps I keep seeing some glaring
mistakes that people should pay attention to in order to increase sales.
Because sales is what we are all after. And some of these mistakes are
just plain dumb.

1. Banners with no text links under them. I know I keep beating
this like a dead horse but if your going to use banners put a text
link under that banner and not just Click Here

2. No Action Words
Blogs should create action. You should use plenty of action words to
encourgare people to do things while on your blog. Click Here , Click
the photo or photos to see more. Click CTRL + D to Bookmark my Site.
Don't assume that just because you know things that all your porn
surfers do to. New people to the internet are dumb as hell. Always
assume that and take them by the hand and lead them around.

3. Are you telling people how to add your RSS Feed to their Yahoo
or their Google. If not your missing great traffic that you could be
getting. You need a page that tells Joe Porn Surfer exactly how to
add your RSS feed to his favorite home page. If you do and you do
your updates to your blog Joe Porn Surfer will show up each time he
see's new entries from you on his home page at Google or Yahoo.

4. One Sentence Posts. Why would you do this? Your posts need to be
30 to 75 words and need to include your keywords. You should also
from time to time make some words into click able links going to
your sponsor galleries or etc. Get Joe Porn Surfer curious and you
have him half way to the sign up page.

5. Are you making use of all the new embeddable videos from various
sponsors. These make great sticky content. Yes you need sticky content.
You want them to click through to your sponsor url's but you also
want them to come back to your site. Remember CTRL+D

6. Are you pissing Joe Porn Surfer Off. If you are you might as well
quit posting now. Have at most one pop up if you really think you must.
But have no active X on your site. Make your site surfer friendly.
If you have sticky content with regular updates guess what? Yep if
you tell him how he's going to push CTRL+D. And then he will be back.

7. While your building and adding to your site think about this question.
If you just came upon your Blog would you want to come back. Is there
something here to get your attention. Do you have any of the Wow!!!
factor going for you. If not why not.

8. Its your site. Notice what I said. Its your site and as long as it
does not go against your Sponsors terms of Service you can do it. Do
you have that great ideal but you have not yet tried it. Why not.
Just go for it. You might just have the next big ideal.
