unreliable research), but I'm pretty sure unfullfilled desires make matters worse, not better. And it may be that nonviolent porn can help them focus their desires in a more healthy direction.
I have heard that porn has been used with good effects on elderly dementia patients (in Denmark, I believe); the patients got calmer and it reduced the incidence of violent episodes. Extrapolating from there to sex offenders is a bit of a stretch, though...
