4) this is the most important thing... In many of his posts Vince is using DIFFERENT PICS FROM DIFFERENT SETS!!!! This is something I havent done much but when I did it, it sold really good!
And the links in his post HAVE affiliate links in them but they are just masked by a php redirect or something.
Again, thinking of FHG's will make you a very very limited webmaster.

points 1) to 3) : I couldn't have said it better :-)
4) isn't so important... I probably have pics from only 1 set in most of my posts.
5) many time you'll find out the sponsors aren't using the same quality of hosting for the FHGs than they do for the premium site. Or they rename some files and your links are 404s, etc...
When a post is linking to a FHG it's screaming "THIS POST IS JUST MARKETING CRAP TO GET YOU TO BUY! SO BUY! BUY! BUY!". On the other hand if you sweet talk the surfer, give him full size pics and giving him a link directly to the tour so he can go download more samples/see the rest of the scene/etc... then your posts are much more efficient. If you do want to link to FHGs, then it's fine, but either make a TGP, or a different kind of blog...
