sound is still very audible, although much less than in 'normal' mode.
I can't tell about the lower light yet as I haven't compared yet the 1600ISO pics with the ones done with my 350D, but for "web use" I'm pretty sure it'll be very good after using a noise reduction plugin (like Neat Image) and saving in ~1200 px.
