Program owner? I don't even think about the program owner being that high up. It's his employees who get the job done for the webmaster/affiliates. It's his designers who create the galleries webmasters need, the sites we need to promote, the banners that some people think they need.
I have an affiliate program. That does not make me better than anyone else. All it means is I have some sites, some software, and some ideas. It's my affiliates who, for the most part, bring in the sales -- theoretically -- that make ME look good.
But wait -- what about the content providers? They should be near the top, too, because without them, you own a program with nothing.
Is my opinion any more important than a newbie on this forum with one blog and one sale a month? Nope.
Well, to some, yes. Some judge others on the level of their income. I can think of someone who used to post here who always brought it down to "I made X number of sales and made X amount of dollars so I'm better than you are".
I judge on mustaches and goatees. Yeah, that includes a few ladies (and potential models), too.

a unique perspective. not one I share.
also, of course your opinion (and certainly mine) is WAY more important than a newb's opinion simply because of our experience and what we've accomplished.
My detractors always want to pretend I talk about money. I never do, I talk about accomplishments.
its no more complicated than that unless you're someone who's never accomplished anything but still not smart enough to just shut up and listen.
