I've used both and have always gone back to AS. AS is what I started with and have continued to use for years. AS is more for people who want to build their own DB's and own them. I have AS set-up for submitting TGP, MGP, freesites, picposts, as well as dropping links off at linkdumps and surfer forums. It's an easy tool to customize. However, AS is not for those who don't have a list of sites they submit to,(or don't want to build a list), and/or those who don't want to take the time to customize the tool or feel comfortable messing with DB's.
There's nothing wrong with Chameleon. It works and it is easy to use.
Whichever tool one chooses to use, eventually you want to build your own customized databases. Default databases are good to get you started, but eventually one wants to work towards tailoring that database(s) to best suit their needs.
