So as a first edition...I will start it off...

I actually think, the best webcam traffic is by niche...
and that being said I as well think you can upsell a live cam on a niche site or any site to be honest if its not overkilll, and if you are presenting a model/performer that the surfer would have an interest in... Many webcam sites go overill on the variety.... let the sponsor give them variety...you are there to make sales. Crank out niche sales...

Niche traffic is the only way to go and it converts a lot better then general traffic. If you have general traffic (amateur, babe, blonde, brunette, etc..) I will give them options on the site to let them filter themselves (Click here to see Live Asians on Webcam, BBW, Ebony, Lesbian, etc..) you would be surprised how many people you can sort out to a niche first and then have a better chance to sell them. If the person ends up on your site but really likes asians and all he sees is amateur looking white girls, he will likely leave. If you have ASIAN WEBCAMS LIVE! link real big on the page 9 out of 10 times he will click it and you have a much much better chance of selling that person now.

Cams are great because to most people it is an upgrade. Its like going into a burger joint and finding out they have a steak sandwich on special that day. What would you rather, looking at a recorded video, or watching a girl live and telling her what to do. To me their is no comparison. That also makes it possible to promote cams everywhere. IMO there really is no such thing as cam traffic, with the exception of traffic coming from cam sites or adwords/links that have "webcams" in it.
