I believe that pligg will automatically try to do a track back to blog posts.

There is also submitting the pligg sites to directories, link dumping the pligg site it self....

If someone's pligg site is getting a lot of submissions it would be in there own best interest to bring real traffic into the site just like they promote there other sites. Most of the pligg sites I've seen so far use some form of ads to make at least some money directly.

The link backs you get from these pligg sites many not have a lot of google power attached to them, but this dose give you the chance to get 5, 10, or more back links PER POST from different sites on different IP blocks. In addition to all of your other linking efforts this should help make things look more natural to google and other search engines.
