I've been missing several movies I wanted to see at the cinema the last 6-8 months, so I'm catching up on Blu-ray now.
I watched Shoot 'Em Up the other day - no doubt the best action movie I've seen so far this year, and probably the last several months of last year as well. It's just completely over the top amazing - and Clive Owen is really proving himself to be an excellent action hero in recent years.
Doesn't hurt that Monica Bellucci is in it either

.
Hitman (unrated version) was also pretty good - and certainly better than I expected from a movie based on a video game. With very few exceptions (I've enjoyed the Resident Evil series plus Silent Hill and to some extent Doom) they tend to suck. A lot.
Beowulf was also great - and it (mostly) looks fantastic. Definately one of those movies where I'm happy I've got a Blu-ray player (PS3) and a 40" 1080p HDTV now, rather than my old DVD player and ancient 25" TV.
Right now I'm waiting for - among others - the upcoming Blu-ray releases of Aliens vs. Predator (hopefully just a little better than the first one) and Rambo (I could kick myself for not hauling my ass down to the cinema for that one).
I've got a few other Blu-ray movies sitting on the shelf I haven't gotten around to watching yet (I did watch those at the cinema though) - Resident Evil: Extinction and Pirates of the Caribbean 3.
The last one should be among the best looking Blu-ray movies yet.
And I gotta admit that after making the switch from DVD to BD, video quality has become a huge part of what I'm looking forward to in a movie experience
