These are Vista Gadgets, but it's the same thing.
I've been through large parts of the libraries of both Vista Gadgets and Yahoo Widgets, and as a rough estimate I would say that around 98 out of a hundred are more or less useless garbage I really have a hard time seeing why anyone would choose to download and "use".
Though I guess some idiot always will (I almost went for a GTA4 release date countdown timer the other day - then I realized I probably don't really need it to tell me when it's Tuesday
).
