Not to be rude to fellow Americans who may be religious, but that pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter. Evolution is a scientific theory, not something to believe or not believe it, anyway. By its very nature it's open to criticism, but so far, I think it's the most viable explanation as a whole that we have to being here.

And btw, I know a lot of very religious Jewish people who have no problem with the theory of evolution. They just don't take the bible very literally, and instead focus on what they see as its spiritual meaning. It's a spiritual guide for them, not a history book. Some of our leading scientists in Israel, biologists, doctors and physicists are religious, as a matter of fact.
