dunno how much money you make/have to spend .. but 100mbits unmetered servers are not overly expensive now a days .. you don't need much in hardware for hosting a few movies .. I would get one just to host the movies ... (that is if you make enough money out of it to support one)
As far as promoting .. who cares what others think .. if you use sponsor content the way you see fit and the sponsor is okay with it .. nobody has a right to say anything then.
