same here, i wouldn't wanna live directly on the beach, i live about 5 miles from it now.
i can live (almost) anywhere, for the time being i am very happy with the place we have chosen to emigrate to (cape town). great climate, great people, great food, stunning scenic views, plus a few downsides.... no place is perfect - it's good to know that we can fuck off anytime to wherever we want to if things go down the drain here. our medium term goal is to get a second property somewhere in southern europe, so we can spend the northern hemisphere summer there and the southern hemisphere summer down here
another option would be to join globo on some tropical island in 2011
