Linking from a main to a sub domain is not always a good idea, search engines may see the whole site as the same site, rather than each subdomain as a seperate blog.
You are better linking from thumblogger etc to your subdomains and interlinking that way.
100 keywords is way too many, 15-25 is about right. But under 30 shouldn't be an issue.
