Olympus SP-310
Hello all. I've been a member for some time without posting, but this Photography Forum has drawn me out :-)
I use an Olympus SP-310, which is a compact camera, but bulky enough for my clumsy hand. I should have purchased the model with the 'hot shoe,' but the shop didn't have it in stock the day I was shopping.
I mostly shoot out-of-doors or in an indoor space with much natural light, so the built-in flash doesn't cause many problem. I used a Ricoh SLR years ago, so I do miss the SLR flexibility, but digital photography is so wonderful I won't complain. To say 'goodby' to film and the attendant costs and lack of immediate feed back... and to be able to 'Photoshop' my files, that in itself is inspirational!
I photograph mostly local young women in the entertainment biz, for their ads and websites. I am interested in getting some lights though...
I notice that most, if not all images from this camera must be post processed at least a bit to present them at their best. I've studied and practiced design, composition, and the use of negative space, which may compensate for my less than stellar camera.
