I have been looking at tons of galleries from newbies.. so much so.. I have seen alot of differnt styles and different page designs.. some are killer awesome.. some are ok.. needs some work.. But something I am really noticeing is sponcer banners.. The thing you need to remember is not everyone is on high speed kick ass download speed.. I checked a site today on the laptop.. and I was on dailup.. the sponcer had provided a nice 1/4 page add in its stables.. yeah it looked good after 2 minutes on the page.. blah not good.. Sponcers have a challenge to look good and be small.. sometimes they go a little further to the left on look good and not press the compress image button.. Now dont get me wrong some sponcers have some real top notch designers.. some the best in the biz.. but you have to remember there 9 chances out of 10 on a lan.. so they have high speed.. and they may not test it on dailup.. thats where you the webmaster needs to check your sites on dailup.. and check your sponcer banners.. just remember that your banners should look as good as possable and better than your images.. but load faster than your images.. kind of like putting a square peg in a round hole.. but this is something that newbies have to learn over time.. its not something that you are born with... its just another one of those thing you have to learn.. Another little tidbit to this.. most newbie surfers dont have high speed.. they have dailup.. because they just got there computer home and there is that nice aol button or msn icon.. so there going to try it out first.. and see what the net is all about... and there is no easyer sale than a green newbie surfer..
