Fuck! Harddrive failure
My main external backup HD just died completely - no response at all.
... After ten minutes of cursing and scratching my head I noticed I had accidentally stepped on the power cable and pulled it out of the socket  .Well, at least I learned something - that I need a synchronized backup of my backup HD  . Since it's the largest HD in my system I'm also using it to store most of my porn and downloaded TV series (you know, the most important files I've got ), and I just realized that I actually keep most of that only on that HD.__________________

I have two external HD's, so if one breaks at least I have another backup of my data.

Yeah you were pretty lucky, that sinking feeling when you realise your HDD has let you down & all the data you've potentially lost flashes past you... well at least it's a good wake up call.
