Would gift vouchers for paysite memberships work?

I've got yet another idea.

The downside is that you wouldn't have the members credit card number, and you wouldn't be able to rebill automatically. You could go for rejoins though, and of course you could try upsells.

I would like to see these available so that you could run rewards programs or offer them as prizes

That's what i was thinking of doing. The affiliate buys a pre-paid block at a discounted prices, and there is no affiliate bonuses involved. The affiliate then gives them away, and the recipient has to register with the sponsor before he can use his pass.

This would be a really useful promo tool for me if it could be done.

I'd be grateful for some opinions by sponsors.

I think the closest that's available is prepaid/disposable credit cards.

If i was going to sign up as a surfer I would definately use them to ensude I only had the correct amount on the card so i could never be ripped off or rebilled improperly.

That would mean that surfers could use them for a load of other online purchases though. If it's not possible to give away paysite memberships, then I might give away dvds instead, or maybe downloadable videos.

How do you work that? Obviously you don't want to get caught for a run of rebills.

Is there any chance the lucky member will have access to any of your details once he has the username/pass created in your name ? Or a way to reactivate the billing for a few more months ?

I don't fancy that. I was thinking more along the lines of the winner registering with a winner's code. He then gets a free ride for a few days, and the paysite goes for a rejoin when it expires.

I remember there used to be a card with a scratch off panel you used to be able to purchase. Just like a scratch card, you buy the card, remove the security panel and once the 5 digits were entered into the site you had 30 days from that date.

I don't think it needs testing the waters with, it obviously works for Jel so cannot see why it would not work for anyone else. The double advantage is you can have a good look around in the members area for a few hours before handing it over. This would then enable better reviews, better material for promotion and a better understanding of exactly what you are promoting. If you run a blog style adult site get the winner of the prize to write a review...
