Linkdumps

I set up a linkdump a long time ago. I confirmed that it works, but then I didn't do anything at all with it. So basically I didn't learn much about them apart from setting it up.

My question is... How do you prevent the undesirable links from being dumped? The obvious cp links or links that send and/or recieve traffic to undesirable sites? Do you just have to stay on top of them and verify them every day?

Also, what are the advantages of link dumps? Disadvantages?

Well, here's a newbie stating the obvious:

1) moderate, or employ a moderator

or

2) only stick up links once a human has checked them
or

3) do some sort of pre-approved partner thing with webmasters you trust.

Contrary to popular belief there are not a lot of people dumping CP links around the web so you shouldn't have to worry about that. Just look at the link titles everyday and you'll be fine

I've had one running for about six months now, I check it daily, but have yet to find any illegal crap, just general crap

Once I put it live, I'll have to keep an eye on it.
