I think everybody with Zango links or associations should be outed publicly.

No doubt I'll get flamed for saying this, but if you support thieves then you deserve to be branded as one.

NOW GO AND CHECK ALL YOUR LINKS IF YOU EVER SUPPORTED ZANGO.

Headboy nice thread, but I'm the bad guy, people don't like me for speaking the truth. It's sad but true. I lose money every day and i'm supposed to turn a blind eye so I don't upset people.

I've been banging on about link theft since 2002, and very few people even understand the problem. You get called a tinhat wearer by guys who think they are computer experts because they know how to use an interpreted programming language, but probably don't even know what an interrupt is.

Sorry but i dont think so, people could promote Zango without knowing and if you find out that someone does promote Zango you can bring the message privately first, if he/she keep the links up then it is ok to go public.

It is hard to get rid of a bad rep and people ho remove the link(s) right a way dont need to be burned as thieves and that is why i think that VG.Content was way out of line and was a disgusting thing to do.

Funny way to put it, I love how I bring light to people stealing and i'm the bad guy.

It's like I see someone stealing from my house and I call the police, then my neighbors call me names because I called the cops on him.

How can you promote Zango without knowing it?

Maybe by running an advertising service that supports it? If that's so, then a public discussion is good, and the advertising service should drop the thiaves or lose its publishers.

I was not out of line, it was in his sig on a public board, so I asked on it, nothing more then that.

I said all along I have no beef with him, but I felt if you have something in your sig which represents who you are then you need to able to defend why it was there.

Public discussion is fine, but there is a difference in public discussion and in crucifying someone that maybe made a honest mistake, Zango is fucking everywhere i dont even know ho is supporting Zango and ho isnt and i visit often the dark side if the internet.

You can give people a chance to take the links down, the way as displayed here today is not the way to do it imho.

Read my thread again, I asked him why he was. I in no way was trying to out him at all. If I wanted to out him I'd have gone to all the boards and said don't support so and so they use zango, like I have with the real zango supporters.

I asked him why and said it did not make sense, and considering he was speaking a lot on zango and how to remove it, him promoting it did not make sense.

You guys are the ones turning it into drama and saying his name is tarnished, you're doing more damage then I..

I said all along no beef, just found it odd and wanted to know why.

There is a big difference.

Zango is everywhere because it's a public quoted company in the US - just like Acacia, PreyPal (Ebay), Verisign (extortion and traffic theft), Microsoft (piracy etc.) and many others. It seems you aren't a thief if you steal millions. That's why I get annoyed with stupid comments like "if you want to make money from US sponsors, then obey american rules". The US government should stop it's public support of thieves and scammers and remove their stock exchange listings.

Zango is just one of the affiliate link thieves that are getting rich from your traffic and sales efforts.

Well, I'll be blunt as usual. I don't agree with this for the most part. A small part agrees.

First, any person with a Thumblogger blog is fucking us ALL since they all have the AFF link and AFF is a known Zango supporter.

But, who are we to regulate the industry? Why out them publicly? Some people have hundreds of sites and can't remember where every single link is. Granted, anyone who promotes Zango is a fuckwit in my mind, even if you simply signed up.

What's next, though? We don't like Zango as it steals from us. What about sponsors who put up popups to sites like AFF, which supports Zango? One is known on this and other boards. YOU send your traffic to these sites, the surfer goes to AFF and signs up and you don't get paid, and AFF and Zango win and you lose. Should we boycott these sponsors, too?

In a perfect world yes they would be boycotted as well, the way to defeat a giant is to hit them where it hurts.

Zango has already lost lawsuits about what they do and it's a matter of time before they are fucked.

I myself go after the big dogs, the programs doing the bad shit.

I asked Dave cuz it threw me off nothing more then that.

If a sponsor is supporting Zango or any other link thief, then you should not be promoting him.

In fact you need to be a real dick head to do it. Not only will you be losing signups for that sponsor, but you are giving away all the signups for other sponsors that your surfers might visit.

I don't buy this too many domains stuff either. Check the stats for the sponsors you use and look at the ref links.

(now go through my sites and post any that I'm promoting 'cos I've lost some passwords ).

I rarely read signatures so never even saw it, to be honest.

So, if we should out everyone who supports Zango you'll one LARGE thread to list EVERY thumblogger blog out there, huh?

My problem is with the affiliate programs or anyone who buys zango traffic. They are stealing from me and it takes money out of my pocket.

If you choose to support a sponsor who uses zango, or aff, wildcash or people on the torrent sites with underage material that's your own idiocy, not mine.

So those surfers that earn thousands of dollars through AFF wouldn't buy anything else? You must have a very low opinion of your sales ability if you believe that.

In fact they could well earn more for you if you sent them to an honest sponsor.
