how to install a new font ?

Hello
PLS help me.
Maybe i'm dumb but it's not working for me.
Just downloaded a sexy font but dunno why it not works. Putted the font under C:/win/fonts
PLS help

you have in the fonts directory, the option to install a new font
go to file>install new font
than select your font and that's it
still not working? format c: will solve the prob

you need to move font file to fonts folder, thats all

Yes, that's it. Just paste the font files in C:\WINNT\Fonts

ok this is the way to do it

o manually install or re-install a font: 1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type %windir%\fonts, and then click OK.
3. On the File menu, click Install New Font.
4. In the Drives box, click the drive that has the floppy or CD-ROM that contains the fonts you want to add. If you are installing fonts from a floppy disk, this is typically drive A or drive B. If you are installing the fonts from a compact disc, your CD-ROM drive is typically drive D. Double-click the folder that contains the fonts.
5. Click the font you want to add. To select more than one font at a time, press and hold down the CTRL key while you click each font.
6. Click to select the Copy Fonts To Fonts Folder check box. The Windows\Fonts folder is where the fonts that are included with Windows are stored.
7. Click OK.

It's much easier,

You go to control panel and double click on FONTS folder, then you copy the Font file and paste it into FONTS folder.

Easy as that ;P

[fontgeek]If your hardcore about fonts. (I have a few 1000, for graphic design and typography), get a good font management software, I use extensis suitcase.You should keep the number of active fonts on your system low, so it doesn't slow down your system.[/fontgeek]

Windows only allows like 480 something fonts to be active.. after that windows gets seriously fucked... your regular fonts will get replaced with other fonts and believe me, it's a fucking mess !!

I use a free font manager ... for many years now... The Font Thing

AMP Font Viewer is another great free fonts manager I used for many years when I was using Windows .... I have over 2100 fonts, but never kept any more than 160 installed at any given time to maximize performance.

Linux does not have these problems

The easiest way by far is to print out the character set of the font ... fold the paper into eighths, and insert it into your A: drive
