I think you need to be a bit more specific.

We know email boxes steal joins for example, and they are in public view.

It's also possible for an honest sponsor to lose the tracking on some signups. Software on the surfers computer is one cause that springs to mind.

Pretend like I didn't care if my ratios with said sponsor were still within a good to acceptable range - possibly ask them why if I was really curious, but I'm pretty sure I would already know why. Hardly a big brain teaser

If my ratios were worse than my expectations and I caught them cheating I would find another sponsor - but chances are I would do that anyway if I were struggling to make sales for one reason or another.

I signed up underneath with my own linkcode after a few weeks of sending them traffic without any results and guess what ?

Straponcash.com was taken over by a domain brooker as the clowns forgot to renew it (a couple of weeks ago) and someone at GFY started a thread about it. They didn't even noticed !

0:8000 uniques targeted sent and ZERO DOLLARS MADE

I've been online for over 10 years, trust me, stay away from them !

Oh yeah, no emails return (of course)

I would talk to some peeps on the board about how the sponsor works for them first to find out if they where really stealing. It is vary rare to find a program doing this these days and if they are %90 of the time they are from Russia, South East Asia or Eastern Europe. Any American or Central European company doing this would be a shock to me. I have been screwed by 2 different Romanian run sponsors and have learned my lesson about lesser known programs.
