How much do you spend per week on food?

with examples from around the world. (ok its in German but see dollar values and whats on the tables) Note also where they eat "real" food and where mostly proccessed food.

So how much do you spend per week on food and what are your favorite food items?

I spend at least $200 per week on food.

Favourite food items : fried fish and chicken.

I spend on average 60-70 per week on food. I make a lot of spicy food, curry, thai food, soups, chole, jambalaya etc.

opps forgot to mention favourite foods...hard to pick but I love anything to do with lamb/mutton and have a very sweet tooth and would go with banofee pie as prob my favourite dessert

is that considered a lot for food in India? I don't know what part you live in but from my travels I know that in Mumbai and Bangalore it's very easy to burn through that much on food, especially if you eat out a lot. But when I was in south India (kerala) i found the food to be much much cheaper even in 5 star restaraunts

I'm from Mumbai and yeah, food is expensive here if you eat from 5 star hotels.

And you're right, in Kerela, even The Taj Hotel (most expensive one here) is dirt cheap.

I've been lucky enough to have lived in the US and in Asia so have gotten to see both sides as far as what people eat and such...but I have to say the Darfur picture really stood out more than all the others, impressed is not the word I would use to describe that pic...eye opeing definetely.

And it's amazing how much processed food we consume in a week...

I eat a lot of organic meats and fresh fish so my foods quite pricy. Just for me I probably eat about $200 - 300 worth of food a week.
