I think that it goes two ways though- the lawyer, while he can tell you how to stay inside of the law, he's not there to explain to you how to shoot and sell the content- that's what I'd like to ask here or somewhere- questions about that

First of all, it *IS* only legal to shoot porn in one state at this point, so Paul is correct. Secondly, AJ at adultsitelaw.com will give you a lot of free advice and he also posts on another forum (PM me for info, I'm not posting it here). He also gives FREE forms on his website. Chad Belville (my favorite adult attorney) also posts and gives a lot of free advice.

This is an industry with FEDERAL laws. You can't just go out, point and shoot, and not speak to an attorney. You'll need a minimum of $50k just to hire an attorney to represent you in an obscenity case. Unless you're Max Hardcore, is it worth it?

My videos have NO sex and I still went to an attorney and it didn't cost me thousands of dollars. A competent attorney can be had for a few hundred these days plus many are online giving free advice and free forms.

I agree, almost every time content provider blushed on amateur starter (with stupid question lol) with : you will fail, you need min$$$$, you need this and you will never have that, and you need that but probably you will never make.

I think that suport and tips would be better for them...

It's a judgment call and playing the odds.

But maybe by telling him he will not make it, he might realise how tough it is and start be a bit more professional. Telling him to "Go for it." and giving out some of the advice I see on the boards is no help. The disappointment will kick in as he spends money and loses it.

Because you are new to it models, sponsors and surfers will give you a hard time while you learn the business. You are up against shooters who are established, the buyer buys what works. He's not running a charity.

If this puts him off I did him a favor and saved him a bucket load of money. Anyone who thinks I'm doing it wrong is welcome to give this guy his money to invest in content

I am not a producer so i don't have a tip but : "We keep churning out the same help to people who are clearly clueless and will never make it. This guy does not even have models!!!!!" don't sound like something helpfull... Do you get first models and then you learn(buy) other stuff???

Thanks for admitting you don't have a tip.

After he has the equipment, learned to use it, decided what niche to shoot, he finds models and practices. I practiced on my wife and her girlfriend before I started shooting for profit.

I am assuming he has the equipment, knows how to use it and knows what niche he will shoot. If he does not have those under his belt he is in for a tough time.

Go back 12 months and see the threads from the guys who decided to shoot content and see how many of them are here now. It will give you some idea of the chances of success.

You don't have them send you content every week to broker.

Sorry if I'm being the gloomy one, but I'm telling like it is.
