Subdomain Traffic Stats
i have noticed that when you create subdomains, they dont get picked up by the stats programs like AwStats of Webalizer......the hits are not counted
is there a good way to determine subdomain stats ? ..........i create lots of sub domains under my main domains |

I need that too! (For instance when I submit freesites I would love to know refferers for each freesite (subdomain)
For some subdomains I use statcounter ( not allowed for freesites though) |

statcounter seems to be a script you need to put on your pages i am looking for something simple......serverside....where you dont need to install a separate script for each site....thats too much to deal with if you have many many subdomains |

no you are wrong fresh. it also should include stats for real subdomains under Subdomain stats. If it does not then you should contact support(Have had such issues with some hosts actually)

what host do you have?
*EDIT* 1. Ok. you are obviously using Hostgator and they do have cPanel Subdomains stats like any other host that uses cPanel. 2. mydomain.com/second is not a subdomain 3. blahblah.domain1.com is a subdomain and you can see it's stats under cPanel -> Subdomains stats... usually they appear there the next day after the site has been made and it has had some visits __________________

Thats what I was trying to tell.
blahblah.domain1.com is a subdomain but only when i OWN domain1.com and blahblah.com as a domains. blahblah.com being add on domain. So generally speaking its not a subdomain its full regular domain added as addon domain. |
