New download to own service....we need your help

We are about to launch our new download to own service and we want to do a final test of the system with your help please.

It is a completely free download of a full length adult movie.
Please go to www.dvdloader.co.uk and test the system for us.

We are finalising the finished site so don't be suprised at this site as it is a test site.

Please give me your feedback on the usability of the service, your likes and dislikes about the service.

The finished site/service will have 20,000+ films on there from all the big named studios, top named porn stars etc.

Your input would be most appreciated.

Yea, we will get the to's and faq's sorted for the main site. The point of this site is to test the download software and get industry feed back.Good point on the collecting of emails though we didn't think it mattered some much as we have only asked inudstry people to look at the site.

Ok thats a good offer but we have stated that about your info because we will not use your mobile number because as we are testing the site using adult industry peeps and we know there is no point marketing porn films too porn industry people.

The whole service is based on people coming to the main site and buying films as and when they want them.

The reason we mention that we won't sign you for any subscription service is beacause we will offer an SMS payment option for the films so we want to make it clear that all payments are one-off payments and not recurring.

Keep the feed back coming.cheers

Oh and just word of advice. The sms isn't free.

It costs standard network operator charges to send. Even though you aren't billing via premium rate on the MT message you MUST state all charges to be in line with the UK regulator.

Even if you run a WAP site with free videos you still have to mention the costs of downloading the vids if you market via SMS or provide links via WAP push messages and shortcodes. It just takes one complaint to launch an investigation so best cover your behind before you go live.

I realise you won't be marketing to porn industry people, however you would be a mug not to collect those mobile numbers and upsell other services to your surfers. As long as you clearly state in your terms and conditions that they are opting into marketing messages you are covered.

This has nothing to do with whether you are going to charge one-off or subscription payments for the site. You will be missing out on a decent chunk of change if you don't continue to market to those numbers...

Yes we realise this but I wanted to make it clear to other readers of this post so I wouldn't waste their time asking if it was a subscription service.

From a commercial standpoint we will collect mobile numbers of customers because we can then adivse them when we upload new films to the service and active databases are a very good asset for our business and they are worth their weight in gold,oops is that the sound of the price going up......only joking thanks for the advice though.
