a bit rough the last 24 hours

that last 24 hours has been a bit rough.
yesterday evening my 2 yr old son broke his nose while running down the hall
tripped and bounced off the kitchen door frame with his face
took him to the ER but they could not do anything for him until the swelling goes down about 4 or 5 days, then its off to see the plastic surgen to get it fixed.

today my 6 yr old daughter decided to stick her toe under the door while she was opening it ripped the toe nail right off, she now walks limpy and that will take awhile to heal.

so now I have 2 rug rats that are injured and want all my time.
and my breathing sucks big time today.
it will be a long hard night.

I wonder what fate has in store for me next?
hopefully its winning the damn lottery.

Things can always be worse, that's for sure. Be thankful that they are not.

I have two kids myself and we've done our share of emergency room trips as well.

As LBBV from NatNet likes to say: "Every trip to the Emergency Room begins with "Hey dad, watch this!!""

Enjoy it while it lasts as kids grow up so fast!

I posted last week about my bad Monday (somewhat humorous) but yeah two injured kids .. nothing worse than that. That can suck the wind out of the strongest parent.

Better wrap those kids with foam!. I guess its a good thing you are in Canada. In the states that surgery for your son would run a few thousand.

i wish both of them fast recovery. i know it is a bit tough on grownups this kind of injury and they are little kids. so i can understand what is going at you.
