Question about selling a site

Hey guys, I had a quick question about selling a site.

When you sell it, how do you actually transfer over the domain and what do you do about the hosting?

They provide the hosting, transfer is done by either a push to them thru the same registrar to there acount, or by means of actually them paying for there registar to take the domain to there registrar. Its not complicated, but more of a pain the ass..

There was quite a bit about transferring domain names, payment methods, and escrow services in the domain forum. Maybe it's time we had an update.

There are a few things to watch out for - for example it takes 5-15 days to move between registrars.

Good point HB, fortunately it takes much less time to change the nameservers so at least the new owner can alter/modify the site pretty much instantly
