Remember when hubpages dropped adult sites?

Remember when there were a few tutorials here a couple of months back about submitting adult sites to hubpages.com, and then hubpages dropped all adult content?

Its nearly impossible to make money with a free host today unless you already have an existing model to build on. Its been proven and virtually every one that has existed since 2002 has been shut down within two years. New folks show up all the time and believe that with lower bandwidth costs these days it they can pull it off.

Its just not possible unless you are willing to pay out of pocket or offer a paid upgrade service that provides added value. Also keep in mind that most free hosting users and small webmasters in general demand the most support. Many see it as well im paying you $5-8 a month so you should be happy to eat off the floor and wipe for me.

If you really need free hosting many sponsors can offer it. Better to waste their time until they finally show you the door. I used to work for another host who one day decided to dump all 400+ shared hosting customers due to the rising support costs. I have also spoken with other hosting company owners who have been considering that same option.

no coincidence at all, nottslad, this was definitely the reason for that drop. check this, the one for squidoo http://www.alexa.com/data/details/tr...ww.squidoo.com looks quite similar, but there the reason was just a google slap...

ehm varzi, hubpages is not really like a classic freehost?
