Lelahosting fucking up again

Thanks for all the tips guys, but until ther server is up again I don't have a chance of moving anything. I'm just about to give up now. Dedicated server down for almost 15 hours now and still no response from Lela.

This is seriously fucking up my business.

a1websolutions.com for me, after 12 months of problems with Dreamhost (still have a couple of sites there) A1 have proved A1... I also have a couple of sites on eXmasters which need moving after my wife submitted a free site to a couple of link lists and was told that eXmasters are on their banned list. Which reminds me I need to change my signature

Having a look at www.a1websolutions.com, but none of the menus on the site work, so I can only see their virtual hosting plans. I need a dedicated server.

And Cyberwurx seem very expensive, but I guess its a case of "you get what you pay for".

Not to step on any toes with FF im sure if he has many happy customers its for the right reason.

People just need to stop using overstuffed servers and supporting craptastic services. I prefer to charge for something i can actually offer then try and play games. The more who support honest hosts the better things will become for everyone. Those who go above and beyond will be here tomorrow after the rest have made a quick money grab and cashed out. Webgems was prime example they grew large enough where they could sell and not have to deal with it anymore. It also happened years prior with United Colo and it will happen again.

Most large hosts are created with big investor backing that will float them while they load up on customers. The model is based on the game of hot potato which im sure most know what that is. They eventually sell out to another company and try to turn a profit so the investors get paid. In this model the customer is really not what creates the real value its all those expensive servers which customers paid for. The next person who acquires the business basically has to repeat this same process. Big investors are not interested in monthly payments and getting paid off early. They have enough to let the investment grow where they gain a much bigger return on the sale.

Many of us in adult do not have big investors worth millions of dollars floating us. We cannot afford to bend you over and kiss you on the way out the door. So while the prices may not seem as cheap they are realistic for what you get. We are not just reselling you a product we are not going to support with our own sweat. There are however plenty who will do just that for a much lower price at those same hosts you got tired of dealing with in the first place.

The choice is yours and you can only blame yourself if you follow the same vicious cycle. I started with hosting.com back in 98 at $8/GB with plan that ended up costing me $70/Month just to run a toplist.

Was with Lela for one month for a non-adult site. Had 3 days of downtime and they refused to acknowledge there was an issue until they finally admitted duh, their DNS server had been down and they didn't know it.

Same problem here i have a dedicated server with them never had any problems and now my sites are down for more then have a day and their support is fucking unavailable.

I am going to take my shit out there and leave it all together i am sick of this fucking shit

And the phone number in the whois info for lelahosting.com is disconnected. Which has now been reported to their registrar. Not a good sign.

These fuckers are going to hear it when I get a hold of them.

Define a 'reasonable price'.

Lela is one of the cheaper budget hosts and you get what you pay for. The lengths people will go to in order to save $5 a month on hosting are amazing.

Edit : actually I am amazed people stuck with them after their year + of problems. There has been enough publicity about the likes of lela and dreamhost that many netponders have no sympathy for those who still use them and get burnt. You knew the risks and decided to take the risks in order to save a few $ .... sorry you got burnt but come on ... lets be serious... it was gonna happen eventually.

Pay for real hosting like the rest of us and stop playing Russian roulette with your business.

Definition of reasonable for me is around $200/month. Thats all I can afford at the moment.

I didn't come here expecting any sympathy. I know I've been an idiot for not switching to a better host. I mainly came here to see if there were others having the same problem this time, or if it was just me. This is absolutely their last chance.

Sorry mate I was a little harsh, but please just cut your losses and go with a real host. Your business will thank you for it.
