Google and whois info

Hi all after a few opinions on this

Do you think it matters if your whois info is the same throughout your domains say 20+ as long as you dont do any interlinking and each site has diffrent content?

But would you get penalized for having a few sites in the same niche with the same whois?

I go with private whois myself. Dunno if its a make or break decision for good ranking, but if your interlinking your own sites a bunch over a number of different servers, I think it helps to make it "seem" like you dont own all of your sites.

Kinda hard to have any concrete proof if it helps or not, but I like to be on the safe side and spend the $4 per domain for private whois.

I find it best to be up-front and honest, so all my domains have the correct info in them. If Google doesn't like that, then they need to rethink and start to respect honesty.

There is something dishonest about having private whois info?

And for the original post, if your not interlinking your domains I think its not so much an issue.

I think it plays a role/will play a role in the future versions of the Google algorithm. If you don't interlink, I don't think you have anything to worry about... G won't penalize your sites just because you have many of them.

I'm very interested to hear in what others have to say about this as well.

I have all interlinking domains on different class c ips and different addresses. Greatly improves SE rank.

I don't think thats as much of a problem, if the sites are quality and have a lot of other sites linking to them. After all, why can't a certain person put together a number of good sites on different topics?

In my mind, what will happen is that Google will discount those inbound links you've got from your own sites to a certain degree. Thats why you should always trade links with other sites in addition to your own.
