How legal is xvideos.com?

They have a ton of full length videos posted but are promoting programs through the full length movies. Does this mean they have deals in place to promote and distribute the full length content? And does it mean that affiliates can embed there videos and do the same thing?

On my site im trying to keep embed videos below 5minutes in length but when your competiting for traffic with these guys somehow im not going to win by "playing fair"

What does everyone think? and whats the legal standpoint on this?

If you look xnxx.com is one of the largest tgp's on the net. They are ranked around 200 on alexa

If you click on any video on the main page it has a huge HPA with linking code to the program.

Click the video it matches that site.

Knowing the size of the traffic xnxx owns and controls I feel it's safe to say this site is fully legal, and has the blessing of the sponsors.

This is someone thinking outside of the box and making a site based on all the ones that steal, but is most likely doing it with the support of the sponsors.

I feel it's safe to say this site is done without stealing any content.

Well don't forget there are ways Alexa can be manipulated. I'm sure VG is just using it as an example, as you can use it as a guide, (that's a whole other thread) just don't make the mistake of determining site worth just based on that as a ranking (I used to do that when I was naive lol).

Yes with some hitbots and other tools you can manipulate alexa. But, anyone who knows old school tgp's knows that xxnx is a huge one, it has been for years.

It's been online since like 2000 or early 01 if I remember correctly, and it's been in the top 2000 sites on alexa since late 2002. There is no way someone can maintain that high up on alexa and be fake for 5 years. Makes zero sense.

Search around you'll see xnxx is a huge site.

VG, I can't remember everything, I don't do that stuff anymore, that's what employees are for HAHA! I was just pointing out the Alexa factor more than anything as so many people ooh and awww over Alexa rankings, because thy don't realize they can be manipulated, but as I stated earlier that's a whole other thread. Link Dumps and Tubes are traffic pumps if used properly. Some people buy traffic others have the traffic and monetize it. I did not look all that hard at the site but it looked like a dump to me.

Those types of sites are like Playing roulette you might find a high quality 5 min video or a really shitty 20 second clip. Very much like the old heavy TGP skim and CJ days. But for the most part it creates an illusion that you get so much for nothing while getting sucked in and watning to pay for more.
