i'm just gonna go ahead and say that tech support from these guys is second to none, they're professional, and get stuff done - quickly. after all, it's your business, and money. things that take minutes, take minutes to get sorted, not hours or days.

Here's my little cyberwurx story that happened a few months ago.

I started a blog (news event based) which grew from 0 to a peak of 56,000 uniques in one day over a period of 5 days. The domain had been sitting dormant on a shared account waiting for the news event to happen for a couple of years.

The traffic grew so quickly that it brought down the shared server and needed to be moved. The files and database were moved within an hour to a new server which I presumed would be a dedicated box that was going to cost some decent $$$.

What I didnt realise (until I got my bill) was that as it was a news event where interest and traffic would die off they didnt move me to a dedicated at all, they moved me to a new shared server and I was the only site to be hosted on it.

They could have moved me to dedicated and charged me $100+ but all I paid was an excess bandwidth bill which considering it was a bandwidth light site was $25 or so.

These guys know the meaning of customer service!

It was about a hurricane set to strike where I live - "pure blogging" as it was intended, live updates from several residents on the ground as the situation developed.

I already had a network on the same destination to give it a kickstart and word of mouth and social bookmarking did the rest. Ended up having multiple TV and radio interviews. Obviously the hurricane has now passed and it gets next to no traffic now...... until next time.
