Would You Share Your Email With Your Spouse?
I was reading Redbook yesterday and there was this short piece on whether or not spouses share the same email accounts. I nearly fell over. I couldn't believe the responses.
"When we became husband and wife, we entered into a covenant with each other and part of this is being totally honest and not hiding anything. Different email addresses would give cause for unnecessary suspicion." What? I don't even like my husband answering my phone, I certainly don't want him digging around in my email and it has nothing to do with "hiding anything". My email is like my calendar, my TO Do list - what a mess it would be if two people had their hands in it. Maybe it's different because I'm such an email junkie. Maybe if I only wrote to friends and family now and again it would be different. . . . nah. . it wouldn't. Do any of you share your email addy's or even just your Outlook program with someone else? |

We don't share the same email accounts, but I'm confortable when she comes at my desk and looks over my shoulder.
No matter whether I email, IM, she can read, and she also sees the female/shemale pics I'm drooling on :-) |

my hubby has access to my email accounts, but I doubt he even goes in them, usually if I need something from my email and ask him to, then he'll go in. We also have joint email accounts for family and business that we do share but mostly I just go in those. He usually leaves the corresponding to me, cuz, well he's a man lol. We have each others pass codes to sites but, mainly cuz of working and that way we don't have to bug each other to get something if we need it and those are all on our shared computer (we have 3 total) for easy access.

What? Having an email account is personal, no I wouldn't use the same email account as my spouse. I of course have nothing to hide and if I did i wouldn't deserve being a spouse. Even though we are married we are still individual people.
