I get this error when I try to send out an email.
It can't be my mail-server because everything was working fine till I had Outlook Express installed. I imported the Outlook settings to thunderbird and I thought everything should be fine. ![]() |

Left click once on the account name, right click, select properties, and check your outgoing mail setting and make sure it is correct. Maybe something didn't import correctly from Outlook.
If you have multiple mail accounts that don't use the same SMTP server,you want to make sure your default,(main),mail account is set-up correctly as well. If not specified, new accounts created will use the main outgoing mail setting by default. |

If this is your domain, you probably have Auth before SMTP check enabled. This is to prevent spammers relying mail via your server. So first you need to check mail via POP3 and then you can send emails.
This check is valid usually for 30 minutes. __________________

Scream, you sure you have the correct port for outgoing emails set properly? That message looks like a wrong port is being used..
