Offshore corporation

I'm meeting my lawyer next week in regard of getting an offshore corporation, and I just do not know where it will be, but I would really like to have my corporation in a nice country where I could buy myself a nice condo, so that when I retire, I can be in that country 6 months a year!

Do some of you guys have offshore corporations?

Bahamas, Cayman Islands, St.Kitts, Dominica, Turk and Caicos, Belize.....or maybe Panama....I would love to have something close to a beach!

No personal or corporate income tax, no capital gains tax, no gift, estate or inheritance tax

Many Carribean islands have this ... including Jamaica.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Johnny Cash, Snow, and many other celebs own land and investments in Jamaica for this reason ..

You really need to do your homework and find out which offers you the best for what you want to do ...

i have a belize IBC and i can recommend that, it's very easy and inexpensive to set up. have never been there yet but one day i'll go check out the beaches there

I was looking at the islands that have canadian bank branches.

I have no clue about all this, but if I could have my corporation, a bank I trust, and being able to buy real estate in the same country.......that would be great!

I read things that you cannot have the corporation to own real estate in most if not all places?

Panama's laws have changed recently, used to be that you didn't get taxed except for local panamanian business (so eBiz was tax free)... now apparently though the laws have changed so you will get taxed no matter what.

Cayman Islands from what I've read seem great... high degree of banking privacy (country laws that hold this standard), lots of different banks and options, and its a tropical paradise too :P Not sure about real estate costs or how much it costs to set up accounts though...

I like the fact that it is so close to Cancun!

Maybe doing my biz in Belize, and have real estate in Mexico would do it!

you would probably have to sort an account elsewhere tho I doubt Belize banks allow adult.

How do they know about where the money is from?

You get a wire.......no adult in a bank transfer, if it's from a legit company I just do not see the problem!

Maybe I should go with a canadian bank with offshore operations then!
