Interesting discovery on Tube sites and how much they value their traffic.

Been in discussion with a couple of Tube sites that have HUGE traffic. And I do mean HUGE. About having our content on their Tube sites and inside their members area. Both will send a lot of traffic to our paysite that will not convert very well.

The discussions were along the lines of buy the scenes for a straight price and no brokering deal from my side and from theirs send the content and they will pay a PPV split on the revenue.

The crux of this is they are not prepared to buy the scenes for a price paysites are very willing to buy for. What does this tell you of the quality of their traffic, sites and their belief. One would rather sign up as an affiliate and send to me rather than spend a few thousand dollars and send it to themselves.

Of course you can argue that it's our content, but for that to be right you will have to find lots of content companies selling them content. And not lots of them sending a DVD to earn another $200.

This of course is just the way I see the situation, others might have a different view, does not make mine wrong.

Then why do they want them at all and do you know anyone they buy from?

Actually the type of videos we shoot they are keen to get and short of.

Why should they buy your content when others provide it for free? They make a lot of money or the sites would not be popping up every day. The traffic can be used to feed other sites, other products, etc.

Now, I may be wrong. I've never been to a Tube site and only read about them on here.

I have seen some very large tube sites diverting randomly to sites that are nothing but PPC links made to look like free video links. While some might think that its worthless junk traffic others are buying/brokering it and making a killing from it. Many have and some continue to buy millions of 404 and other junk traffic each day from free hosts and turn it into gold.

Paul I have seen a LOT of your videos on the tube sites promoting your site.

Don't tell me affiliates submitted them either, because they aren't promotional clips at all .. but rather good length.

If you want tube traffic don't bash it, because we might just remove your traffic all together. You wouldn't submit if it wasn't making you money.

Can you provide me some links to the full length ones please, to show us they are actually there. I only submitted short clips with my link and under my name, as far as I remember. But if you catch me out you can call me a lying scammer. If that's not a good enough opportunity then I don't know what is. I did submit on your Tube site as well.

They want the content on a REV share basis rather than a straight payment, for the members or PPV areas. They do have some of our clips up and are sending lots of traffic.

I'm just talking about two Tube sites. Have no idea about the rest. LB can tell us what the traffic is worth on his.

DH only busted if we see the proof, if no proof is shown then LB is busted.

Firstly you didn't post a few, secondly they weren't short. Actually Paul I would love for you to keep posting to tube sites I like your recent content and would be happy to give you traffic. Just please don't bash me for sending you traffic. I am serious that your videos are good and I am sure our surfers will enjoy them hence you will enjoy our traffic

This is how so much of the lies start. Someone says one thing and then when asked for proof won't find it or the proof hardly backs the claims. This is the longest I could find. http://www.pornotube.com/media.php?m=1436212 2.30 and some are less.

We did go through a period of uploading these videos to test it on the Tube sites, the surfers love them and follow the "See more links", problem is they go back right away. So obviously want to see more but not pay for it. Paysites buy them and they work. They would not buy them if they did not. Whether a PPV clips 4 sales type site would work off Tube is open to discussion. A route I'm considering.

But my point is even though the videos generate a LOT of traffic the Tube sites don't think it's enough to make paying for them worth while.

If you want more clips like these on your Tube site sign up as an affiliate and grab them in the affiliates area, there's 100s of them there. Not worth it for me to upload them to feed the advertising on the Tube sites.

"Youtube" traffic is almost worse traffic but with such traffic you can get Quantity over quality to make sales and extra income!

Actually my friend .. if you are after some of your 'full length' video clips they can be found on some of the pay for membership tube sites.

Was just giving some examples ... eg 84 clips .. average of probably 2 mins each is a lot of videos for someone who denounces tube traffic.


I get conversions of around 1:40-1:200 on wanktube for my videos. Get that on tgp. There is less clicks to be had, but its highly targeted traffic.

You Tube does better on traffic and conversions. We are shooting stuff specifically for these sites.

"Porn Tubes" do very badly. One does 1:15k Still the average for the last week is now under 1:500, CCBILL screen grab can be made available for the doubters. Seems Badwolf is not my typical surfer.

Big difference of opinion here!

I agree with LB, from my own experience of tube site traffic 1:100 - 1:200 is the norm.

The problem these days is a) finding a tube site that permits webmaster uploads (wanktube excepted) and b) a sponsor that allows their content to be used in a way that generates clicks.
