I have always been attracted to bigger, very very hairy guys. Maybe it's the visual of them being the protector or something. Mojo, what makes you think women as a group are any less diverse in what sort of porn turns them on than men are?

Women who join adult paysites are obviously well outnumbered by men that do so. However the female audience for porn is growing. Women who enjoy male-on-male action have varying tastes. Some prefer it all male, others prefer it mmf bisexual with 2 bi guys & a girl in the mix, and others like both.

There are also at least two kinds of gay male "porn" that were originated by & for women.

Yaoi, which is a publishing genre which focuses on male/male homosexual relationships. The genre originated in Japan and encompasses manga, anime, novels and do-jinshi. & Manlove, a genre of M/M erotic romance.

The hugely successful movie "Brokeback Mountain" is based on a short story by Edna Annie Proulx, which is essentially a "manlove" story. And women absolutely flocked to see that movie, often dragging a reluctant male partner into the theater with them

There are gay & bi male artists & writers working in both these genres, & male fans as well. However they are both very much mainly a girl thing.

I've been running hairy men and bear sites for four years, so I can probably shed some light here.

Historically, the bear movement picked up steam during the first wave of the AIDS epidemic. With so many men walking around with emaciated bodies, a bear was seen as a sign of a healthy man, although that's a misconception because your size doesn't mean you're HIV negative. But it was the beginning of a bigger men starting to see themselves as sexy, or sex objects.

Hairy men and bears aren't necessarily the same thing. Bears are generally bigger men, but not always. Think of Grizzly Adams, he's considered a bear, but he wasn't overweight. Dom Deluise, Pavarotti, and those types would also be considered bears. Tom Selleck would probably fit into the hairy man category, but not necessarily the bear category. And within the bear niche there's a lot of sub niches: cubs (younger bears), polar bears (older bears), otters (thin hairy guys) and wolves (older thin hairy guys).

Generally speaking a bear is a mature man 30+, has some beef to him, has some facial hair, and probably has body hair. Although there are plenty of bears who are missing any of those attributes.

Why do we like them? There's a whole community of men out there who like their men to look like men. They got tired of all of the shaved porn stars and young twinks. Some men like their hairy men built, others like them beefy, chubby, and even overweight. Who knows why, the reasons are as varied as why straight men like big tits, little tits, fat asses, and girls with glasses.
