I've had a few lucid dream's, supposedly you can get better at it and there are methods to to train your mind to get to that state more often

I'd love to lucid dream but I just can't do it. Tonight I had two prolonged very detailed dreams where I was basically being a tourist in an interesting landscape. That was fun.

very creepy.
My mom had the same problem. She told me about this more than a decade ago. At first I thought she was just trying to frighten me, lol.

I don't get these dreams often but maybe once every six months. Does anyone know what causes these dreams?
I don't know what it means, but i have similar dreams sometimes

Only those who are alien monsters and attack me

Btw, i had a gf who was much more dangerous in this regard. One night
she watched some horror movie, felt asleep and had a nightmare. When
i came home she woke up (more or less) hid behinde the door and almost
stroke me down with a steak hammer

A steak hammer? Do you mean knife or do you need a hammer to tenderize your meat?

Scream> I'd say the videogames are the culprits too. Try playing them at other times and do something more sedate before sleepy time.

I'm thinking of reading a book before bedtime.

I would recommend Eden (Stanislav Lem) or maybe Floating Dragon (Peter Straub).
Or maybe something classic like H. P. Lovecraft novels
