Dreams of fear?

I keep getting these dreams where I'm fighting with someone unknown (total strangers) and these people don't seem to get hurt when I hit them and they end up kicking my ass.

I don't get these dreams often but maybe once every six months. Does anyone know what causes these dreams?

maybe the dream means that you feel inferior to someone, like someone is overpowering you in a way, or SOMETHING is overpowering you, that's what it sounds like to me

The thing is sometimes I just can't stop thinking of certain things that bother me A LOT. I always play PC games before bed to keep my mind 'fresh' but sometimes nothing works.

I got very creapy dream last night,

i was in some house with some people and we where hiding from some killers (it looks like we are in hostel and they want our blood for fun!)

At the end only 2 of us pass true some holes and traps to freedom! Very scary!

I don't think I've ever had nightmares as such, just dreams with weird or fucked up imagery, but never "someone is out to get me" type dreams.

I seem to dream a lot about being in airports/train stations and in school, which is annoying since I don't plan on going back but I guess I still feel I should finish my homework from 20 years ago, lol

I'll ask Francis for you later, he's pretty good at interpreting dreams and it's usually not a good idea to stimulate your mind so much before bed because it takes longer for your mind to relax when you're trying to get to sleep, so you might want to cut out the video games before bed and try something a little less active.

Dreams like that usually mean frustration with something in our lives ... since you didn't start to get yours until you started working online, perhaps it's related. And yeah I was gonna say what Tuula just said ... try to relax your mind more before bed ... even working really late I notice my dreams are sometimes scary.

I fully believe in dreams meaning something to us. It's a whole other world we live in. I used to dream that I could fly but it was more like peddling a bike in the air without the bike. Weird! Or the falling dreams. I had one of those the other night, where I jolted myself awake.

Dreams are weird. But hey Scream you mentioned you're at least fighting these dudes back so that says something ... that says you're giving life a good go round!

Yeah, I was fighting them back but when I punched the guy multiple times it didn't seem to hurt him at all (there were 3 guys btw and they were bullying me for no apparent reason). He just smiled at me and he was a much smaller guy - around 145 lbs and I'm 187 lbs. When he hit me it hurt and I 'felt' it. That's when I woke up.

The last time I got a similar dream I actually kicked the night stand and hurt my big toe.

Well Francis is a very spiritual person (he's half Native and practices alot of his culture) so they believe that dreams are visions of your life, you just have to learn how to interpret them. I remember when I first met him, he always used to say "you better hope I never have a bad dream about you", because usually when he does they come true. I've been through some weird things with Francis and his dreams and sometimes I think he talks to me through my dreams. We have a very weird connection with one another that nobody seems to understand where that is concerned.

I've had the kicking thing happen before. That's always weird. I hit my shin on the window ceil once. That jolted me awake pretty quick.

I think the weirdest one I've had recently was a few days ago. I remember walking into a big Wal-Mart type store. It wasn't that busy, but as I was walking in I saw Bill Clinton over by the magazine racks... I was like "Hey, what's up man.". Just casually like I knew him or something and he responded like someone I knew and I kept walking into the store to go shop...

Then I get deeper into the store in some isle and Al Gore is at the end of one isle and then a few mintuies later Hillary walks up and is like "Hey, hows it goin? Haven't seen you for a while..." and some chit-chat along those lines...

Very strange... I'm not a Democrat or Republican... I'm independent but not 'the independent party' or anything... I'm not registered. I'm not even all that 'political' really. I tend to think things will probably go to hell in a hand basket either way.

But I thought that was an odd dream. Have fun trying to figure that one out.

When I was younger I use to have this recurring dream(nightmare, really) for years - I'd be sitting in the loungeroom while my mum was having a shower at the other end of the house and if I try and move or make sound of any kind a minature alien comes rushing down the hallway towards me really really fast and the whole dream starts again.. sometimes the dream seemed like it lasted the entire time I was asleep.

Someone try and interperate that one for me

When i was young i had lot's of nightmares, including that type you describe.
One day i coincidentally read a book about lucid dreaming what gave me the
idea to put my sword aside the bed. Shortly afterwards i dreamed that aliens
creeped up the stairs to my dwelling. In my dream i just grabbed my sword,
lunged at them and that was it. Never had that kind of nightmares again.

The backside of experimentation with lucid dreaming was that it can have
strange side effects. I started to wake up 'into' my dream. The beed, the
room, the time of day, everything is almost like you are awake. But it's very
hard (at least for me) to really wake up. Usually i have to wake up 10 or 20
times till i'm not longer in the dream but in the real world, what can be
very creepy.
