This may sound strange. I do my best work if I am feelin' it ....... so to speak.
Posting, building, basically creating Adult stuff seems to work better and be more enjoyable and have better results when I am feeling it ...... what made me realize this was the other night, was blogging, re working pictures to add, typing text like a mad man, when I was interupted, after a hardy workout session of the old "In and Out" I came back and my mind was blank....... so I switched to mainstream blogging...... well I guess there is a reason for mainstream after all...............

I don't work well when I'm horny because my mind is on other things. I need to be able to concentrate when I work. You need to be able to separate yourself from what you are doing in adult to really be able to get a lot of work done.

Im actually the opposite. I find I get a lot more work done right after a good session with the gf...Im a lot more relaxed and with a nice chilled bottle of beer I get a ton done.

Of course watching my gf prance around the house in her newest lingerie purchase prob has something to do with the fact i cant get anything done at "full mast".

I guess there would be a difference between steel hard horny and a slow work up while working. Personally in the early days i will say once You got worked up You found yourself in your favorite chat room shit talking............ but now I have to be in a sexual mood in order to do my better work. withoput feeling it it is just like a job -forced. but that is for creative stuff only..... marketing, promo's and such sitting there with a woody would be distracting I agree..........

nothing to do with sexual mood but...

when I first started working I used to work pretty much 7 days a week, as much as I could, but that can burn you out real fast so i started working like i would at an office, no more than 6-8 hours a day and weekends completely off and I gotta tell you I get so much done on Mondays it isn't funny.

I definately tend to have my most intense and longest bursts of writing inspiration when I'm particularly turned on by what I'm writing about (in reviews or blog posts) and often simultaneously watching/flipping through in another window.

And even when I'm not really particularly turned on at a given time, this "condition" still applies to a certain extent - I pretty much can't write text that sounds even remotely inspired about something that doesn't turn me on (or has the potential to turn me on), or interests me if we're talking about non-adult topics.
Which also means that I would likely never even bother trying to promote niches I don't like myself.

that is more important than a lot of folks seem to realize...especially when you are talking about blogs. I've come across quiet a few blogs that deal with certain niches and you can tell in the first few sentences that the creator has no idea/interest in what they are trying to sell.

I've tried to sell the gay niche but never had no where near the success Ive had in other niches, and it's just comes down to cause I dont fully understand the niche...writing a blog post for a gay blog is a chore for me and tedious rather than enjoyable and inspiring.

Ditto, back in 97-99 i can't count the times I watched the sun come up and not even realize it and had to go to work in an hour...... time management does improve productivity...... because You are there to work and yo tend to stick with it...... endless on line leads to side tracked time, endless PM, boards, chat surfing for porn etc..... seperate work from surfing........ for a successful business online or real, you have to some degree have it on Your mind..... surfing You come across ideas, promo ops and so on...... I moved a large chunk of marketing to off line activety..... always have a business card to hand out or tack on a board....... always invite to check out your site, You don't even have to say it's Your just a "cool ass site I found"
