What accounting software do yo use?
I have been managing finances using Excel but I'm looking to start using some account software. I read through some reviews and so far it looks like
Quicken 2008 Home & Business would work the best. Looks like it works good for people that do not have a physical inventory or payroll. Does anybody have experience with this type of software? __________________

Quicken, a version that is probably from 1995 or so. It works, no reason to upgrade

I just take all mine to the CPA. I'm lazy.
That said, I purchased Peachtree Accounting (my CPA suggested it) but I never used it. If you have a Staples store, about twice a year they offer the appx. $300 Peachtree FREE after rebate. |

Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions - version 8 now runs on a Linux server so I don't have to run a MS server anymore. Yippee
I run copies at my different business' and keep track of 8 different company files. Only drawback for me is that I can't open two company files at the same time. |

I've been using FRESHBOOKS for about 6 months now, and have no complaints at all.
They are 100% scalable to grow with your business, and offer APIs for most reports and functions, giving you even more control over customization and branding to your business. I used to use quickbooks, but I am very pleased with the change to Freshbooks.  __________________
