Time management is the key..
Develop a plan, work that plan. Keep focused. Include time to analyze the plan at intervals and adjust it. KEEP FOCUSED. There are lots of time wasters and we all get hit by them. FOCUS on the tasks, get them done. Shut out the naysayers. It is YOUR plan, it is YOUR business. Take and think over advice, but ultimately make up your own mind about it and move on with your plan.

Weigh your words carefully.
If at any point you are involved in a heated discussion especially on boards but even instant messaging always weigh your words.
If you find yourself calling someone a steaming pile of maggot infested bull excrement, who's mother was a cross between an orc and a baboon and who's father was known to have carnal relations with drunken crossdressing dwarves then....
Get up get a drink of water.
Walk to the front door breathe fresh air.
Come back and read your post, and if you still feel it needs saying then maybe hit submit.

(and every once in a while check your backups are usable and current)
