I think if you have a site that feeds off the surfers, like Megarotic or AEBN it might work. But I still maintain it's about hitting the balance between cost and profit.

Regarding Adriaan's reply about top bucks content on wanktube. I sent an ICQ message to Krusty a month back.

How about giving an option like megarotica. Paid submitters must be provided with more uploads and download speed.
The present flv player is a traffic leak for a webmaster who choose to embed the video. But that is ok as long as it is free. Offer a different flv player for paid submitters to embed the videos into their site.

I agree with tigermom, I think you should follow Shemp's advice LB. And don't listen to the cheap shots about your traffic, the traffic will come in time and you know that, it's a growing process.

Yeah we have our logo on all imbedded videos just like all the other tubes. Imbedded videos count for at least half of our BW and I think its a fair trade seeing as the wm doesn't have to edit or source the movie or even host it. Don't actually get many clicks from the logo either so probably still running at a loss for the emb vids.

allowing paid partners to embed with no logo could really come back to bite us. Had a few sites which are pulling our videos at around 50-100gig a day ... that works out to be some pretty large scale $ over time.

Not worried about our traffic.

Make sales from my own submits to wt, so know the traffic works. In the case of people bagging the free traffic they get back, they don't have to submit .. nobody is holding a gun to their back making them.
