I'm still waiting just to see it in a video game

. Apparantly no developers/publishers have been able to get a license yet, though supposedly there are inactive art files for it hidden in the latest Need for Speed game (it would almost be a bit of a shame if that crappy racing game series should end up being the first featuring the Veyron).

They've had it on Top Gear three or four times - including James May taking it to it's 253 mph top speed on a Volkswagen test track - but unfortunately they haven't yet been allowed to take it around a track.
Like most other European high performance cars, it's actually supposed to be able to go around corners

, though it would be easy to suspect it of hating those things just as much as many American cars do.

That was the last time I was in Somerset. I saw the programme where Jeremy Clarkson used a Bugatti Veyron to drive a truffle across France and into the centre of London.

I would not be able to afford the fuel im not missing anything. Flying cars will go beyond that type of speed in time and cost less so look to the future. I cant wait to see the new lineup of cars in 2010 they will be amazing.

Well the Bugatti costs £870,000 I understand. That must be the best part of $2 million. They did say that each one costs VW £5 million to produce, so sales are going to be a bit selective.

I seem to remember Clarkson saying on Top Gear a few years back that they weren't actually going to put the car into production at all - it was basically just a tech demonstration.
Clearly Volkswagen changed their minds though - and Wikipedia lists "approx. 300 to be produced".

Well if they are producing 300, then the 5 mill production cost is a load of bollocks. They must have included the whole of the development cost in the figures for the first one.

That's at 250 mph - it's probably down to 1 gallon per minute in the high street.
